The second phase of the village drainage project could start in the new year | Local News

The second phase of a St. Simons Island Pier Village drainage project could begin as early as January, depending on how long it takes for the county to acquire large drainage pipes.

County contractors completed the first phase of the project last year, which involved rebuilding much of the Mallery Street road and sidewalks and installing a new drainage line to a pond in the King neighborhood City, said Dave Austin, director of public works for Glynn County.
