‘ELE’ELE – Further construction works to complete the’ Ele’ele pedestrian bridge on the Kaumuali’i highway at the ‘Ele’ele shopping center will begin this week, along with various other road works projects across the Isle.
A two-lane closure on the Kaumuali’i Expressway in both directions between mile markers 15.9 and 16, Waialo Road and ‘Ele’ele Road, will take place from Monday evening January 10 to Tuesday morning January 11, from 10 p.m. am to January 5. suis, for the installation of guardrails.
Sections of Pa’anau Road in Koloa will experience short lane closures from Tuesday, Jan.11 to Monday, Jan.31, according to the county’s Department of Public Works and Pacific Concrete Cutting and Coring Inc.
The work will include improvements to pedestrian access to Koloa School, including new sidewalks, pedestrian crossings and ADA ramps.
Working hours this week are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with no road work taking place during peak hours for return and class collection.
This project is expected to be completed in June.

According to DPW and contractor Maui Kupuno Builders, further repaving is scheduled for Monday through Friday, Jan. 10-14, along portions of the ‘Oma’o Highway near the highway intersection. Kaumuali’i. Lane closures and one-way traffic along ‘Oma’o Road are expected to be scheduled from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Oma’o Road will be closed to Koloa Road to all northbound traffic.

Construction is scheduled for Monday through Friday, January 10-14, on the Kuhio Expressway near Safeway in Waipouli.
