The Montana Department of Labor and Industry, Montana Department of Revenue, Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services, United States Department of Labor, and Montana Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in partnership with the local Chamber of Commerce, Employment Service Employer Committees, and Montana State University organizes assistance for business clinics throughout the state.

The Kalispell Clinic will be held May 18 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Hampton Inn, 1140 US 2.

Business Clinic Support is designed to provide new and established businesses, accountants, bookkeepers, human resources professionals and attorneys with up-to-date information on topics such as: the new Department of Montana Revenue and Their Electronic Services, Unemployment Insurance Tax Requirements, Workers’ Compensation Coverage, Regulation of Independent Contractors, Use of Labor Market Information to Make Business Decisions, registered apprenticeship program, tax incentives, minimum wage, overtime, new hire reporting, and USERRA laws and regulations.

Whitefish Room Breakfast Focuses on Tourism

The Whitefish Chamber of Chamber will hold a business luncheon on Wednesday May 11 at the Whitefish Moose Lodge. Breakfast will be a preview of the summer of 2022 and what it may hold for Whitefish and the Glacier National Park region. Speakers from Glacier National Park and the Whitefish Convention and Visitors Bureau will provide a comprehensive update on what to expect this summer.

Registration and the buffet breakfast start at 8:30 a.m. and the program and a question and answer part run from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m.

Change Management Workshop

The Whitefish Community Foundation will host an online workshop on Thursday, May 12 with National Business Consultant Andy Robinson on the topic of managing change and leadership transitions. The workshop is part of the foundation’s nonprofit development partnership program.

Robinson will discuss how organizations grow and change over time and how leadership needs change accordingly. It will provide guidance for creating change at the personal, interpersonal and group levels and provide insight into how to design a succession plan.

The 90-minute online workshop begins at 11:30 a.m. There is no cost to participate, however, participants must pre-register at whitefishcommunityfoundation.org/nonprofit-trainings.
